TeleStroke Networks: Technologies and Expertise Required
Emerging Stroke Technologies and Analysis of Eligibility for Acute Therapies
HealthTech is pleased to announce a series of webinars on The Future of Stroke Care. These webinars are designed to help participants understand the steps to creating successful stroke and telestroke centers, while investigating use of beneficial emerging stroke technologies to improve patient outcomes and hospital operations. The first webinar, entitled Creating a Successful Stroke Center: Lessons Learned, will discuss optimal stroke center operations. Marilyn Rymer, MD, Founder and Director, Saint Luke’s Brain and Stroke Institute and Professor of Medicine, University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine will give this webinar. The first webinar will be October 14, 10:00am – 11:00am PDT and will include a 40-minute presentation with a combined 20-minute forecasting and question and answer session. As a result of this presentation, you and your organization will learn about Stroke Center best practices, lessons learned, and the impact of stroke center operations on workflow, patient care, and the financial performance. The second webinar, entitled TeleStroke Networks: Technologies and Expertise Required, will discuss Partners TeleStroke Center and establishing TeleStroke Networks. The second webinar will be Tuesday, November 4, 10:00am – 11:30am PDT and will include a 55-minute presentation with a 20-minute forecasting session and a 10-minute question and answer session. Lee Schwamm, MD, Director, Partners TeleStroke Center, and Shawn Farrell, Executive Director, Partners TeleStroke Center will give the webinar. As a result of this presentation, you and your organization will learn about the business case and optimal set up for telestroke centers, while identifying technologies and expertise needed. The third webinar, entitled Emerging Stroke Technologies and Analysis of Eligibility for Acute Therapies, will discuss the current state of tPA and future acute stroke technologies. The third webinar will be Friday, November 21, 10:00am – 11:00am PDT and will include a 40-minute presentation with a combined 20-minute forecasting and question and answer session. Marilyn Rymer, MD, Founder and Director, Saint Luke’s Brain and Stroke Institute and Professor of Medicine, University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine will give this webinar. As a result of this presentation, you and your organization will learn about the effectiveness of tPA therapy, use of CT Perfusion in stroke diagnostics, emerging acute stroke technologies including those in clinical trials, and their impact on acute stroke care.
