Polypill Article: The Polypill is a combination of generic versions of statins, ACE inhibitors and aspirin in a single fixed-dose pill. The drugs that make up the Polypill have been shown individually to reduce coronary disease and ischemic stroke by 15-30%. Although the Polypill could provide a 60% reduction in heart attack and stroke risk, interest in clinically testing the concept and commercializing the product in global health care markets has been slow to materialize.
